Lake Tahoe Marriage License
Obtaining a Lake Tahoe Marriage License on both sides, California and Nevada.
This guide will assist you in obtaining a Lake Tahoe Marriage License. As you know, Lake Tahoe is split between two states. Each state or both sides of the Lake has their own regulations for obtaining a marriage license. As they don’t differ by much, you will still be required to obtain your license if you’re married on the Nevada side of the Lake and a California license for the California side of the lake. Most wedding chapels in Lake Tahoe will provide you options for your license as well as most ministers, but if you would like to obtain your own license, follow the information below.
State of Nevada Marriage License
In the state of Nevada a minister will be needed to perform your wedding ceremony and sign your wedding license. Many of the wedding chapels on the Nevada side and of course the California side offer non-denominational ministers on staff for your convenience.
